The Nicolson boys exceeded all expectations as they put 14 (fourteen) goals past Thurso with no reply. The boys were ruthless in the first half as they went 5-0 up by half time. Dol Barden, Innes Iain Morrison, Gordon Maclennan (2) and Caly Macleod doing the damage. Thurso put pressure on at the end of the half. The Nicolson went out in the second half expecting to stem tides of red but put the game beyond doubt quickly into the second half as another 3 were added to make it 8-0 before the reinforcements appeared in the shape of Kevin Flower, Andrew Macmillan and Connor Mackay. By the end of the 90 minutes another six had been score taking the score to an unbelievable 14-0. Scorers in the second half were James (Titch) Morrison (4), Gordon, Caley, Dol, Connor and Kevin. Well done to the boys on a superb result, the prize a trip to Victoria Park, Dingwall to face Ellon Academy at 19.00 ko on Tuesday 24th April.
