Here is the first of many sports profiles of our talented pupils representing The Western Isles at the NatWest Island Games 2015. First Up we have a real medal contender in Kara Hanlon.

Currently 5th fastest 50m breaststroker in the UK
How are you preparing for the games?
Training in the pool 9 times a week with 3 additional gym sessions. Traveling to Barcelona with Edinburgh University for a training camp and races. this will help give me some experience on the European stage before the games.

Competing against athletes from different islands
Competing in the relay as we have never had enough swimmers to do so before
